Job Description:
The Lab Associate candidate will focus on the development of animal primary cell separations and cultures. These primary cells include Neuronal Cells, Hepatocytes, Pancreatic Cells, Lung Cells, Hematopoietic/Immunological Cells, etc. These primary cell products will be used for cell-based assays and drug screening. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of academic and industry practices for developing, promoting, and selling animal primary cells in the life science market. The individual must be capable of working in a cross-functional team to enable the commercialization of animal primary cell products and services. The individual will interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel requiring the ability to work across functional groups at AllCells-Shanghai site as well as in the Headquarters of the US.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to apply resources to meet goals and schedules. The individual exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for achieving results. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Establishes the technology platform of separation of various animal primary cells in-house and works with stakeholders to establish drug screening services using animal primary cells.
2. Develops product specifications, quality control assays, and product claims content. Works with stakeholders to determine competitive product/service pricing, strategies and tactics for commercialization. Creates & provides Technical Service/Customer Service/Sales training. Organizes market sampling program as needed.
3. Provides sales and customer support related to animal primary cell related products/services.
5. Assist with executing other daily tasks or special projects, as assigned
6. Maintains knowledge of industry IP considerations that might impact commercialization strategy.
Experience:
At least two years in a similar role specifically in the field of animal primary cell separation and cultures. Excellent communication & presentation skills, and demonstrated analytical, project management, and planning skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability to see new business opportunities, meet aggressive objectives and develop strong working relationships. Must possess considerable skills in all aspects of Microsoft Office Suite of work tools.
